Musings: The Friendster version

This is late, I know, but I was having second thoughts about updating because… as I said, I wouldn’t update here. Oh well.

Happy Mommy’s Day to all the mommies out there, to my mommy friends (Mai! Masol! XD) and to the mommies of my friends who love them very much! To the mommies of all my friends who gave me my friends, Thank You. To Tita Belen who gave birth to the wonderful son that is my boyfriend, Thank You. And of course to my own beautiful mommy who is presently playing mommy to my cousins while praying really hard that her kids don’t get kids of their own until they get married, MWAH!

Hahaha, so many "mommy" words in one paragraph. XD

By the way, who’s watching Star Wars on the 18th? My friends and I are excited about it! I even watched Return of the Jedi on (pirated) DVD the other night just so I could brief myself on what happened to Vader — I felt really sad for him at the end of the movie that I cried! Wow! Iniyakan ko si Darth Vader! Well, he’s not my favorite character in the series, but in the card game that my boyfriend taught me to play, he rocks! XD Pay 2 force and search a Dark Side Battle card! Dark Speed! Unfriendly Fire! Woohoo! XD I love using him but when my boyfriend’s Mace Windu card shows up, I rarely win. Ah well. It’s satisfaction for me if I kill Windu, even at the expense of winning. XD

I’m sorry… that was a touch of my usual geekiness showing. ^^;

Bah, I can’t sleep! >< I was asleep the whole day! I hate it when I turn into a vampire in the summer because then I can’t do any of the things I want to do, like skate or go to the mall. If there was an alternate universe I could visit where things would open at 10pm and close at 11am, that would be for me. Sort of like a backwards universe?  Sigh. I never thought I belonged in the normal world anyway.

Aha! I just figured out the downside to this friendster blog thing: YOU CAN’T COMMENT BACK TO THE PEOPLE WHO COMMENTED ON YOUR ENTRIES. ^^; So, um, sorry if I can’t reply much since I really don’t plan on updating this… much. ^^;

Anyway, a big  hello na rin to Sir Jerry and Sarah and Hazel! Bru!!! Thanks for complimenting my pants! XD Hehehehe. Sir Jerry, musta na? ^_^ Sarah-chan, you have all those blogs?! How do you keep track of all of them?! O_O I couldn’t even keep track of TWO and had to give my pitas up… sad really. It’s the only one I could customize, down to the last html tag. But I got tired. Hehehe.

Okay okay before I leave, I just want to show off my new pants.

This is me on the tarmac of the Davao International Airport before jumping on — has a brief image of myself actually stomping on an airplane — the plane that would take us back to Manila. (Waaa! It’s Cebu Pacific! I think I felt my blood pressure rise as the plane was about to take off! O_O Lucio Tan aside, I’m a PAL girl.) Look at those camouflage pants?! Aren’t they cool?! XD

I can just see my boyfriend sweatdropping right about now. ^_^ Hi baby.

Hahaha, actually, Paul took these pics. ^_^ We were about to go on the plane and he kept stopping me to take pictures. So I had to run ahead and pose just so we wouldn’t annoy anyone. (People out there were probably shaking their heads and asking if I was a loose nut or something, or just a camerahog. :P)

Actually, I bought those pants at SM Davao. ^_^ I wasn’t supposed to buy anything there, because, duh, there are SMs everywhere! But we stayed for 5 days and when I checked my clothes on the third day, I realized I left one of my skirts at home. So I had to go buy a skirt, but I saw those pants, too, and they fit so well, and had so much character what with all the pockets and zippers and the design… I just had to have them! XD There went my shopping expenses for April.

Of course, after that, I tried not to spend on much else besides food and pasalubong. ^_^

Truth be told, I do not see the point of opening another blog account anywhere — I have pitas, which I haven’t updated in what already seems like forever (but I plan to! Let me get around to working on my layout first!) and then there’s my default/permanent blog home, the place we usually refer to by two letters: LJ. To all you newbie web peeps who only go online for friendster, LJ stands for Livejournal.com, which, up until last year, was very elite and you had to be invited by someone who owns an account to actually, well, own an account. Gah, blabbing…

But hey, I guess this is supposed to be a good thing. ^_^ So all you friendster peeps who managed to open your blogs (and don’t tell me you weren’t able to because I got TONS of notices all sitting in my email account!): Get blogging! Where the heck are your entries? What’s the point of opening a blog account if you don’t… blog? I swear, it’s fun, and it’s an inexpensive way of visiting the shrink. Plus, you can write in all sorts of languages… just don’t expect people to comment on something they don’t understand. XD

I did notice that this friendster blog is loading WAY TOO SNAIL-like for my own good (and I’m on DSL), so if you guys get the hang of blogging, I invite you to visit the more popular sites out there such as livejournal.com (or its anti-version, deadjournal.com… yes, it exists.)  My FCCY friends use blogger.com. :) 

Hmm… I hope it wasn’t taboo to advertise other sites here, but that’s the beauty of this isn’t it? This is MY journal, MY thoughts, MY ideas, MY writing… and I CAN write ANYTHING I WANT. If Friendster.com has any problem with it, then that’s why I won’t be a regular here, ne? ^_^

Okay, enough babbling. I’m going shopping with my mom today because I owe her.  If anyone cares to know my livejournal account? Make one first, then I’ll add you. Or ask me instead. ^_^ I’ll probably just use this account for the photo albums…. gawd it’s freakishly slow! –;
